This is the latest in a long line of blogs.
I'll be displaying recent drawings here rather than pontificating on the ways of the world.
Please keep in mind that most of them won’t be ‘stand alone’ gags but will relate to
some unseen material.
From an English Secondary Education textbook.
From another.
I just found this on my hard drive. I can’t remember why I did it.
I think it’d go nicely on a cup.
Some preppie animals drawn recently for NSW Dept Education. I really enjoyed
drawing these as I have a daughter at primary school and I know the drill.
Little country koala being waved off to school by dad.
Another from same series. These preppie pics aren’t for resale but if you
like them I’d be happy to draw up something similar for you.
Here are some examples from a recent English book for secondary students. Again, these are spoken for but
I’m happy to draw up something similar for your project.
Drawing the interior of planes often throws me but this one worked out fine.
Chapter heading about Punctuation
A stray watercolour that missed its chance to be in the right section. It’s Comber Hill.
This was a rejected rough for a cover for an English book
A secondary English cartoon that seems to be taking place inside Bunnings.
I do a spot for a Finance Mag. This was last month’s effort.
This was for the Nurses Association
I like working for them as I used to work as a psychiatric nurse and am familiar with many of the issues.
There’s a bit of repetition involved with these but that’s because the issues
are eternal.
Ha! A cartoon that can work for any union!
Hospitality workers. I was one of them once too. I worked as a champagne waiter at a function centre in Adelaide.
I wore a cummerbund and think they’re a very cool bit of clothing that should make a come back for everyday wear.
I’ve no idea what this pic was used for but I think they should cut an album.
I remember working in the Seagrass Matting Factory where everyday we’d stand by the trucks
waiting for them to throw rolls of carpet on our backs which we’d then take to the warehouse.
My back was never the same again.
I enjoyed doing this as there were lots of elements I had to incorporate. Firstly the very big guy as
the story was about how to lift heavy patients. Then the attempted lift and finally the machine that you can see at the back.
The format of this page leaves sentences arranging themselves like free form poetry.
Nice.
